Around the pearl
Almost a decade ago, ten cyclists embarked on a journey to travel
Around The Pearl on Their bicycles, where roads uncharted for over
three decades were encountered. With every pedal stroke,
the riders furthered a cause they were passionate about; donating
wheelchairs to children with cerebral palsy. By the 5th edition of this
epic tour, the Wheel for Wheels Foundation went on to raise funds for
over 2700 wheelchairs, changing the lives of children from the far corners
of Sri Lanka. Hence for some, it's not just a ride, but a ritual, a charitable cause...

Today, the ride has become a cornerstone in the Sri Lankan cycling calendar,
taking the Riders, their friends, and family through the
wealth of natural beauty, culture, and lifestyle that our country has to
offer. You are about to face a challenge that will absorb you, with the
opportunity for adventure every day of the ride. An experience of a lifetime,
to be written as a chapter in the book of your life.
